Certified Beekeeping Class — March 2026 March 14th-15th | Limited availability Ready to start your beekeeping journey with confidence? Our Certified Beekeeping Class is a comprehensive, beginner-friendly two-day course designed to give you the knowledge, hands-on experience, and local support you need to succeed. Course Schedule March 14th -15th Saturday & Sunday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM each day Registration Information (Important) Each attendee must register individually, even if attending as a couple. This allows us to: Communicate important updates by email Meet South Carolina Beekeepers Association (SCBA) requirements for certification and credential tracking Tip: Because class updates are sent to groups, be sure to check your spam or junk folder so you don’t miss important messages. What’s Included (Non-Refundable Class Fee) Your registration includes far more than just classroom instruction: ✔ One full calendar year membership in Dorchester Beekeepers & Gardeners Club (January–December) ✔ Beekeeping book "BeeCabulary Essentials" by Andrew Connor ✔ Expert instruction from experienced local beekeepers ✔ Light refreshments during class ✔ Hands-on hive visit at a local apiary (weather-permitting, typically mid-March when conditions are safe for the bees) ✔ Door prizes and special surprises for attendees The hive visit will be scheduled when temperatures are warm enough to safely open a hive without harming the bees. What to Bring: Dress in layers (classroom temperatures may vary) Bring your own non-alcoholic beverage in a spill-proof bottle or insulated mug (Please note: no refrigeration or ice machine is available on site) Class Pricing $85 per individual $125 per couple $45 Student Rate- Valid student ID required Space is limited, and classes fill quickly—early registration is encouraged.
